GREAT RED DRAGON (James Gossard 2006)

(I See Stars x Wildest Dreams) Dip 10 ” Dor 41” EM
If I could only pick one spider to hybridize with, GREAT RED DRAGON would be my choice. The red genetics comes from my, I See Stars, which is a cross of HOLLY DANCER x RED RAIN. (RED RAIN is a RED RIBBONS kid). I have held this flower back for several years, until I was able to have a full tetraploid conversion of it. Made lots of TETRA GREAT RED DRAGON kids in the greenhouse. This is the most important spider introduced to date. Why?  It is very easy to use setting a large number of pods, full sun outside. The tet conversion even sets pods. It is an open form true spider with a ratio of 6 to 1. Has 4 way branching and 25 bud count. As a hybridizing flower the kids are spectacular, it produces true spiders with excellent red and purple colors and intense green throats. The most remarkable hybridizing trait is the green spiders it produces. I can not wait to see my white spiders crossed with the Green spiders bloom in 2006. Easily fertile both ways. Sure to become a hybridizing legend.
